I would suggest getting a classic impreza type r . Great car and investment . And then join type-ra.com

hmm. i have looked at them, and from what ive heard they are much more of a driver car than the newage ones. however you have to admit... a white hawkeye with choice mods looks the nuts. |
True . But personaly i prefer the classics . And the type r will go up in value . I dont think i'll convince you though
What kind of money are you looking to spend |

I always wanted a DC5 in CW however finding the right one was difficult so I gave up,
Is there anypoints in which you think a Scooby will be better than a DC5. |

Well dont get me wrong the DC5 is an awesome car, and i would say faster than a pretty standard STI taking into account weight etc. but i just like the looks of a scoobie..... and the 4WD is a plus, the noise too. (even JDM ones ) i think its just one of those cars i have to own at some point if that makes sense? |
Impreza STI Type R (2 door coupè and one of the most desirable) or Type RA (race altered 4 door saloon) without a doubt. Both will hold value.
Well respected used Subaru dealer: Stunning Version 3 STI Type RA http://www.hurstcars.co.uk/used-cars...01609278188581 Version 6 limited edition Type RA (also with optional double rear spoiler) http://www.hurstcars.co.uk/used-cars...01608076577132 Beautiful Version 6 (last of the classic shapes) STI Type R, if your budget can stretch http://www.hurstcars.co.uk/used-cars...01610309265299 The version 3 is actually pretty good value considering the low mileage |

Went out last Saturday for a blast up the road celiac gt4 vs Honda S2000 both cars with exhausts and filters. The gt4 was dynod 258 bhp 1440kg
I was sat in the passengers seat of gt4 both cars went for it in 2nd gear and gt4 left the s2000 for dead and I mean dead and I thought the gt4 was not quick at all Unless ur running supercharger or turbos in ur Honda sti evos and skylines are in a different league that's just the reality of it |

Id like the dc5 to be as fast as an sti but i dont think it will be . I really would like to be proved wrong im a honda man but i do like my sti6 i wouldnt be in the middle of stripping it down to rebuild it if i didnt
Type-ra.com is a far better forum btw.feels more like a proper owners club .a lot of knowledge there and no bull**** like you get here . This forums good for the forsale section and talking ****. |

If i had 12k right this second to buy a weekend car, i would either buy a subaru cheap and have a stroker project car, or just buy a clean type R, why don't you go test drive some to find out what sort of power and spec you are after the nmake a choice, one persons subaru will drive completely different to someone elses hence the conflict in opinion, your driving style might not even warrant you having an impreza, just go try before you buy and let us know what you have brought? Currently have a JDM EP3 as my daily drive and the Mrs has an 08 FD2. You can't beat them for the combination of performance/reliability/fun/affordability. |
