Rear diff subframe bushes
 

Hello,

I am about to install the whiteline rear diff bushes W91380 into my rear subframe but noticed there is a bigger lip of the bush on one side compared to the other. Does anyone know the correct way for them to be pressed into the subframe?

My thoughts are that the extra protruding bit of bush should go inwards hence creating a gap between the back of the diff and the subframe.

Anyone know?

Yeah tried a search, found something on NASIOC that led me to believe the sticky out bit would be on the outside but then I read another thread on another subaru forum that stated they should be on the inside.

I have e-mailed whiteline so will wait til I hear back, surely someone here would know though.

Looking at the standard bushes in the pic above, it looks like the subaru bush is flush at the rear so that kinda also tells me that they should be fitted with the sticky out bit on the inside.

I cut out the bushes in my own subframe a few weeks back and didnt take note on which way the original bushes were in, lesson for the future maybe :)
