Wr1 rear diff noise

Hi all

Recently fitted wr1 running gear in my classic consisiting of r180 diff and dccd 6 speed

Rear end seems a bit noisy/knocky...is this something to be worried about or just the characteristics of this particular diff (suretrack i think)

My old one was plated type r180 i think...from a v3 type r

Can anyone offer any advice?

Cheers

It should be quiet, have you changed the diff oil?

Yh diff oil changed

Im gonna try it tomorrow

It puts down drive

I think the fact its a classic with no interior and polybushed is probably whats wrong

If it turns to 3wd in the day then il probably have to start inspecting parts

Im just unsure of the characteristics of the diff and how much lock up and when or spin or freeplay it should have

My only other experience is with my type r and i liked how that put power down

Cheers

What ratio was your type r diff?

4.444 i think

Could use type r diff and my crown wheel and pinion if you think its a better combination for track

Plated diffs are always better, i was wondering why you would swap it for a worse diff lok
