Taking back control in regards to immigration (for some, annoyingly a minority) was simply about being able to freely determine who comes and goes. It wasn't about restricting or increasing immigration. |

But you already had control of who comes and goes. The UK was not part of Shengen so anyone arriving had to have a passport. If anything you have lost control because before you left the EU there wasn't a mass influx of rubber boats on a daily basis.
You're right though, there does on the face of it seem to be less control now. Plus, before, the migrants were coming from like minded, friendly, EU countries, now they're coming from all somewhat less compatible contries to British way of life. But at least they can pay 'em less! |
