1992 legacy ej20 into 1999 impreza ej20
 

Hi, could anyone tell me if I could put my 92 legacy turbo ej20 into a 1999 UK impreza turbo, basically using the block and heads and swapping over everything else, exhaust mani, inlet mani, turbo etc etc

not easily as the wiring, ECU, sensors, etc. are totally different and you cant simply use the later electrics as the manifold / head spacing is different after MY98

early legacy engine has numerous differences but in simple terms would be a drop in replacement only for MY89-MY98

Thanks for the reply though in all seriousness, I told the lad what you had sent and we agreed it would be more work than he was hoping for so he's still looking for a bolt in my99 engine and I'm still selling the legacy lump.....sigh :lol1:
