Hi lads anyone have any experience any good?
What power level are we talking ?

JGlanzaV 01 October 2016 12:51 PM

Id be buying individual parts to your own specs.

Standard crank is good for 600++

Seen a couple of very cracked cosworth pistons recently..... Same failure as per my build thread! Scary stuff.

Id be ringing engine tuner for a chat, kings of the stroker. Their prices are fair too, and this is my second stroker Ive had in the car from them, first one on an open deck block lasted over 30k miles at well over 500hp.

Bare in mind, that 30k miles wasn't as a daily driver, it was out on track and down the strip for all of it, so it had its head beaten in every time it went out. On an engine that was never designed to realistically do more than 400hp...

New engine on a CDB is out of this world and worth every penny...

AS Performance {Alyn] is another engine builder with a very good rep could be worth a call.

joe v3sti 02 October 2016 02:16 PM

I run an AS Performance stoker kit in My Car top qualitys parts by good manufacturers, all tried and tested. Pretty much the as what is used in some of the country's quickest Imprezas.

Speak to Alyn he will sort you out,

I defiantly won't be recommending cosworth either!

The other option is rcm with omega pistons and arrow rods

joe v3sti 02 October 2016 08:24 PM

Just speak to AS Performance Job done!

Omega are good stuff.

But you will get a better deal bybbuying individually to your own spec.

Also not much point using anything other than a cdb

But on the same token there is no point soending money on bits that dont need it. 500hp isnt a great deal these days and there is no need for the most expensive components to support it

RAGGY DOO 02 October 2016 09:01 PM

Just want it to last j
