Ditto, just put this in my hatch; big screen, fast nav. another recommendation

Just an old head unit, don't really care as prefer to hear that boxer rubble. ðŸ‘

Pioneer AVIC 950 DAB

TypeR99 25 September 2016 11:29 PM

Pioneer BT350, does everything I want from a headunit including handsfree kit, bluetooth music, usb, ipod etc. Quality is good, price is awesome, have 1 in the Impreza and 1 in my astra van. Get a lot of people comment on how good the sound quality is on the handsfree, even in the Impreza. If you want a touchscreen faffy dvd jobby you're not driving fast enough!

How hard would it be to use the nav unit from the 330s ? I have the connections in the centre console and i rigged up my phone to it.

I've got a Kenwood DPX406DAB double din. I know it's not the most expensive or modern unit but I fund it works well. The dab is great, it connects to my phone really easily for music, calls and also for navigation (I've ditched the sat nav and now just use my phone). It also sounds really good.

Pioneer Appradio 3, handsfree, sat nav.

jaygsi 27 September 2016 10:58 AM

Thats a good price for halfords, although it looks like that will be a nightmare to use.

I've had loads of touch screen stereo units, and the worst ones were the ones which had the fast forward rewind mute and volume buttons on the touch screen, as when your driving this means you need to look at the stereo to skip tracks etc takes your attention away from the road, and if sun light on screen you can't see out.

Each to their own, I've not had a problem with the full touchscreen Sony unit & you get a larger screen.

One of the pioneer double fin units doesn't fit flush and sticks out like a sore thumb hope you have not bought that particular model pal :wonder:

DoZZa 27 September 2016 05:33 PM

The Pioneer one I have has both hardware and touch screen control, and I have added a Sony rotary remote commander.

Yes thats right, a Sony remote that works with a Pioneer! Although the commander is not remote as in no wires, it connects to the back of the stereo into 3.5mm jack. Uses old resistive technology to function.
