WRX vs STI rear diff

Is this right or wrong?

Rear Diff on a 2003 WRX = R180
Rear Diff on a 2003 STI = R180

Basically, I want to know if I can use 2003 WRX hubs on my 2003 JDM STI? :wonder:

Will my R180 shafts fit the WRX hubs?

thank you that's a wealth of info, but doesn't answer my question, or if it does I cant extract the answer from it?

I need to use 2003 WRX backing plates on my 2003 STI hubs to achieve my goal...

I need the 171mm handbrake assembly with 2 pot mounting on my R180 diff/shaft/hub set up.

Didn't realise I could just swap the backing plates around... which I hope is the case

your WRX has an R160 rear diff and nothing is interchangeable between the 2x set-ups.........

pretty sure the backing plates wont swap either as the mounts are a different pitch as well as other differences
