Glad i didn't opt for the Samsung Galaxy Note 7.

I've had a few of the Galaxy Note phones, i'm just glad i didn't pull the trigger on a Note 7, in saying that i think £750 is OTT for a phone anyway so i would probably have swerved it regardless.

You just feel for those that have waited patiently with their pre-orders only to receive them and then find out it could catch fire or explode at any moment whilst on charge or just after a charge.

I was going to attempt something witty but that's game over.

Presumably its all that extra power/cores what did it !

Fair play to Samsung for quickly taking action.

No doubt it's Toffee Pies favourite fast charging that's the issue, it's just not a great idea.

New innovation for next year, we've had waterproof now it will be fireproof.

Price was way too high for me to pull the trigger at minimum of £37 p/m so my Note 4 can have another year of use.

2 battery suppliers, one of them made dodgy batteries as all cases so far are from one of the 2 suppliers.

The Chinese market is unaffected as they use the second supplier so watch for a load of imports from there until the European market gets new supplies from Samsung.

its only 35 phones apparently!

There's potential for more that's for sure. I don't buy the one of two battery supplier thing, they'd recall on serial number if that was the case, it's a million less back to the factory, that's huge.

Are you gloating Jack :o

dpb 02 September 2016 02:44 PM

Nope, no need to gloat. I just find it really funny, especially with ranty face on the only other thread here.

Tim should shut up, that seems out of character. I don't think the Irish should be made to ask for it though.
