Dropping an EJ25 in a blobeye
Hi I'm thinking about a future project and I'm planning it all before I start.
I want to buy a Subaru blobeye and drop an EJ25 from a Hawkeye into it and I gave a few questions My main question is what do I need to know about dropping the engine in? Is it just a drop in and go? Is there any guides out there to help me do it properly? If I'm changing the engine in a blobeye is it best to get an sti blobeye? I just heard about the stroker kits and I have been reading about one that pushes the EJ20 to 2.1litre by fitting EJ25 crank and forged pistons ect... then u was flicking through fb and seen a guy who had his Blobeye to 2.35 litre. I'm interested in learning more about these stroker kits or if there's anyother kits about I'm looking for help with all my questions and I than everyone who replies and please if there is anything I need to know or it would be good to know please let me know I'm always interested thank you Subaru lovers |
Few links explaining different ways,
Can also fit liners to a 2.5 and make a 2.4 i am sure :) https://www.scoobynet.com/general-te...-for-drag.html |
Stick with your 2.0 litre or stroke it to a 2.1 for a reliable and rapid car.SJ.

go all the way with a closed deck inserts and forged internals , you won't regret it , I love the extra torque from my 2.5

I have done (almost) exactly this.
A CDB into a blob with liners to make a 2.5. Huge torque difference over the EJ20 configuration and makes for an effortless drive as a daily. However I would never bother with this with a standard (i.e. un-modified) EJ25. |

Can I ask which Engineering company fitted the liners to your CDB.
