Sorry to see this Paul.
Why have you decide to part company?

Cpt Jack Sparrow 04 August 2016 10:10 AM

she's been out 3 times in a year, not how this car should live... some one else can enjoy and I will start a new project....

must stay positive or it will eat me up

Blue by You 04 August 2016 10:12 AM

Hmm, tough choice I know when you've put so much effort in.
Goes without saying you'll miss it when it's gone, as many others have. Is there no way you can store it until next spring and see how you feel then?

BrownPantsRacing 04 August 2016 10:12 AM

Such a shame. Good luck with the sale mate. :thumb:

TypeR99 04 August 2016 10:16 AM

I can never understand this mentality of owning a car, never driving it but being sad about selling it. Its contradictory unless you're a trophy collector.

I know people with classic cars that get driven 3 times a year but they've owned them 20 years+ and dont cry about selling.

End of the day, its a hawkeye on xxr's, its not hard to replace as/when you decide you want another.

BrownPantsRacing 04 August 2016 10:18 AM

I've driven my 63 beetle 3 times this year ironically! :D

MATT93 04 August 2016 10:50 AM

Looks stunning! If it helps, I'm sure you'll regret your decision once it sells :P

jaygsi 04 August 2016 10:54 AM

And when you buy it back it won't feel the same :thumb:

Exactly.

Are you always such a melodramatic queen?

Or are you just using a clever bit of marketing and hoping your OTT hyperbole will help push up the price?

ZANY 04 August 2016 11:44 AM

I reckon your selling up for a JDM captain:norty: as peedee did:thumb:

johned 04 August 2016 12:05 PM

Nice looking car and good luck with the sale.

Blue by You 04 August 2016 12:28 PM

Just listen to the 'Hard Men' here. I don't suppose for one minute any of you know the OP personally or you wouldn't be posting the 'melodrama' comments.
I do know him and he's not the sort for crocodile tears. Seeing as you obviously don't get it, I'll explain. It's just a tongue in cheek introduction to the prospect of selling a car he has clearly cherished. Ok now?
What would you have him say, 'Bloody hell I'm really happy to be getting rid of this pile of sh!te' :hjtwofing :D

M2RTXhawkeye 04 August 2016 12:41 PM

knownhiw you feel mate, sometimes needs must.... Like zany said come back to a jdm they're the way forward :thumb:

I still feel cut up about selling my last one after seeing it get ruined, hence this one will either get sold to the right person or broken. Whether you drive the car daily or once a month they have a way of getting under your skin and being difficult to part with :(

The Pink Ninja 04 August 2016 08:40 PM

Remember...not driving it and keeping it like new is like not shagging your Mrs so she's ready for the next guy :p

All seriousness tho you know you'll be back :lol1:

jazzyjembreaze 04 August 2016 09:55 PM

Keep it man
You will miss the ol girl when she's gone

RAGGY DOO 04 August 2016 10:05 PM

Drivin mine onnce since mapping due to lambda issue joys of ownership
If the car is gremlin free get behind the wheel son and enjoy it

ditchmyster 06 August 2016 11:13 PM

Know what you mean, going to be putting my wrx wagon up for sale next week, really thought I'd keep this car as it's my perfect daily, but after 5yrs things have changed its too much car for where I live and I can't be doing with driving it back to the UK for mot every year, also have the type r in the garage in bit's and in two minds about that too.

Yellow R 07 August 2016 09:50 PM

Nice car mate, Whats the spec ?? other then haters above stating its just a hawk on XXrs

S3LDM 09 August 2016 11:48 AM

Shame you got to sell it but if it’s a need must

Something to ponder over though……If you do sell it, and then look for another at some point down the line, have fun trawling through some of the **** out there to find one to replace yours, as its obviously a well looked after car.

This is what I tell myself when I think of selling mine for the same reasons as you. Although I do about 2000 miles a year on average.
