My girlfriend is buying me one for by b/day at the end of June. Anyone got any recommendations?

andrew walsh at www.1stlotus.com

or Don Palmer creative car control

they are both excellent - you in your own car learning about on the limit handling.

A bunch of us went on this a couple years ago - fantastic day, great VFM when you consider how much driving you actually get to do in many of the other days. Cars wern't much to look at, but loose surface made it more than adequate :D

I'll second the recommendation for Don. Forget about driving aspirational cars... Don teaches you how to learn about driving.

Don is a great bloke and teacher - thumbs up from me too. :D

Depending on how much she wants to spend, I can also recommend the Jonathon Palmer Motorsport Sensation at the Bedford Autodrome.

Got to do it last year (as a work jolly) - we drove Lotus Exiges, Honda S2000's, Vauxhall VX220's, Audi TT's, Caterham 7 Superlights, Honda Integras, a stripped out heavily modded Ford Puma and Formula Palmer Audi single seaters - all full on, on various tracks with plenty of instruction...
(Also did a really tricky off road section in Vauxhall Fronteras.)
- Wasn't a cheap day though - I think it was about £600ish.

HUGE fun :D :D :D

Rich :)
