Got to be a 2.0 litre CDB built up to a 2.1 stroker, Turbo wise Im not sure they do a really big twin scroll turbo to support 550bhp, but I could be wrong!! Have you thought about some of the billet twin scroll turbos like the SC46, LM450, would make a very fast road car with excellent spool and be just under 500bhp with other supporting mods!!!:thumb:

GONZO01 24 July 2016 12:21 PM

A good mate of mine has a lm450 twin scroll turbo on his JDM and to say its rapid is an understatement lol and he's just under 500bhp and not a lot keeps up with him.

Yeah it was until the owens turbo shat itself after 700miles and they wouldn't cover it under warranty due to being over 12 months old.. on to a rotated EFR now just fitting it all atm

Nonissues so far.

RAGGY DOO 24 July 2016 01:06 PM

My sc42 made 427.

Meth or bigger forged block for next step.

RAGGY DOO 24 July 2016 01:27 PM

Cheers fella Bob said if I had big maf intake it would done 460
95 octane map with 3mil nf black per litre of fuel worked out 1/3 btl per 40 litres @ 1.6 bar

He also said I'd have get custom maf pipe made cos no one makes it for my car apparantly

joe v3sti 24 July 2016 01:29 PM

550bhp is way over the top for a road car in my opinion, not drivable to its full potential.
Go to 450bhp tops and save a fortune

RAGGY DOO 24 July 2016 01:34 PM

2.1 and push the turbo and make just under 500 is prob the route I'll go with splash of meth

100% agree with this unless dual carriageway hooning is your thing

RAGGY DOO 24 July 2016 04:41 PM

So many options

bustaMOVEs 24 July 2016 07:52 PM

Just go full hog if money's not an option, can always set low and high boost maps for road and track

Turbovin 24 July 2016 08:36 PM

A stock location twin scroll 550 bhp turbo is going to be an absolute pain to even get to fit.

RAGGY DOO 24 July 2016 08:54 PM

I agree the lm450 barley fits in

Agreed..450 of each in a road car is ample...

Believe me.

That's a hell of a spec. Have you got a build thread?

MATT93 25 July 2016 09:19 AM

You've been 450 for about a week now lol, why not just enjoy what you have for a while.

The SI drive in the hatchback sort of does this anyway as mines around 450 in sport and 530 in sport sharp :thumb:

This. And haven't you only driven something like 300 miles in it since you bought it last year? :)

Personally, I'd prefer a more spooly and more driveable 450bhp than a laggier 550bhp. And nobody could argue that 450bhp isn't enough grunt to swiftly overtake a slowcoach Prius driver and generally have some fun!

matt-c 25 July 2016 12:22 PM

Rotated setup = spooly 550bhp

Uncle Creepy 25 July 2016 12:44 PM

Rotated setup = £s :)

yes the above is me a complete idiot , plan on enjoying it for the forseeable future and thanks to some great advice from a member on here i think im going to get my hands on a mega maf tube and swirl pot in boot and get bob tweak it to around 475 that will do me i think i will put a full stop there

431 is very rapid on the road here do i really need anymore i dont think so

but good to have a few options
