I suggest you do a bit of research on Walter Mitty (sorry I meant IDS), he's a serial liar.
Anyway there's no way the Tories are going there again.

hodgy0_2 25 June 2016 07:17 PM

IDS implemented a system that punished the disabled, quite a few committed suicide

In fact it got so bad ATOS was removed from the Back to work contract

Google

atos benefits back to work suicide

He also famously claimed anyone can live on £56 a week. Then made up story (which he's good at) about how he and his wife lived in poverty, all lies of course.
His CV was a work of fiction too.

And don't get me started on the lies that he's told in referendum campaign

Hopeless as P.M. elect for the Conservatives previously.

He's a good egg now though. A prominent campaigner for the 'Leavers', who have recently helped us rediscover our sovereignty, hold on to £350mill/week we kept chucking down the toilet and give us free reign to boot out/not let in all the immigrants that keep pinching our jobs.

What could possibly go wrong?

Who wouldn't, it was a very compelling argument if you have the I.Q. of a house brick.
I was more concerned about the immigrants pinching my job. Every time I wanted it I couldn't find it and had to go out and get another one.

JTaylor 25 June 2016 08:32 PM

I know a Brexiter who swapped a wheel for an immigrant; the Brexiter felt he'd had a good deal.

Lol!

It seems there is about 52% of the population of the UK with the intelligence of a house brick then.... sounds about right though....

I think TM is deffo a PM material. Not that I'm a fan, but I think she's the most grounded, most intelligent and least corrupt (publicly, anyway) among the lot. I may be wrong, though. I'm sure some will provide various links to prove that she's the wicked most witch on the planet, which she may be. I don't know for sure. I do know that she's a tad better than Mr. BJ the b.shyter.

So wee paid the EU nothing to be part of their club?

What cr@p are you spreading now?:lol1::lol1::lol1::lol1:

The actual figure is immaterial, we now get to keep it.

No we don't get to keep it.

It now gets spent on. Untangling to legal mess, updating and creating new laws, employing people to deal with it, employing more border control and passport staff...

Paying more for our imported gas and electric since the brexiters destroyed the value of the pound etc.

The list goes on... maybe if you understood the concept we could have a proper discussion but you would rather just throw insults....

BMWhere? 26 June 2016 10:53 AM

Actually we still have to keep paying it until we leave in 2+ years. Only we'll probably get a lot less of it back now!

Don't waste your breath most people can't comprehend that....

Liam fox is on TV now talking about setting up government trade departments and putting people in place to deal with all the red tape.

So we still pay 350m for the next 2 years at least. Plus hundreds if not billions of pounds to deal with it all and sort it out for the next decade....

changed my mind after watching this
someone with both buisness brains and common sense we will now have 100% access to the worlds labour talents and markets,
without the eu telling british buisness who they can and can't get work visas for

dpb 26 June 2016 09:25 PM

yes calling the electorate stupid hasn't been reasonable , its been an incredibly difficult choice

Measured by arête alone, this is outstanding.

dpb 26 June 2016 10:04 PM

This is what I don't get though, seeing as we as a continent don't have natural resources ,surely all we have is each other , and undemocratic in as much as everybody would have to be equal . Inevitably someone has to be the boss and there is bound to be corruption

silver-sub 27 June 2016 01:41 AM

The bookies are even giving Blair a chance to be next labour leader.

isn't it all just nauseating watching the elite ffrom each party , rubbishing ( but not too much ) the guy at the top - so as not to ruin their own fortunes :spew:

in times gone by I guess someone would just been quietly poisoned , and we wouldn't have put with all the bollox

Yes, mostly damning with faint praise and then, 'Yes Minister' style, claiming they are not interested in the leadership. A well placed poisoning or two would do us all a favour!

Just heard on the news that Jeremy Hunt has declared a 'serious' intention of running for PM.
Now how do I feel about that?

Leadership qualities, trustworthiness, public confidence, charisma - not a sign of any of them!

Blue by You 28 June 2016 10:16 AM

I have no particular interest in politics for its own sake. Yes we need a figurhead to run the country and a bunch of ar5e kissers to clear up after him/her, so I tend to vote based on what I hear from news broadcasts and opinions of others I come across such as on here.
The point of me saying that is that I don't do very much research into the personalities that put themselves forward for the job.

But at present there is not one solitary MP that I would place my trust in to run this country.

If this referendum has achieved a single thing apart from throwing the country into financial and political disarray, then it has shown that there is not one senior politician with a shred of integrity, and who wouldn't sell his granny to the highest bidder for a chance to get a bigger spoon to dip in the gravy boat. I sincerely hope they are ashamed of their collective behaviour over the past 10 weeks or so.

JTaylor 28 June 2016 10:36 AM

A classic case of The Boy Who Cried Wolf. The remainers warned of the consequences and the leavers, having heard it all before, branded their foreboding tales of woe as 'Project Fear'. The only problem being that this time the politicians that made up the remain leadership were indeed telling the truth. I remember the affect Aesop's fable had on me as a child - I really got it. I never thought the day would come when those shouting "wolf" once too often would be rendered impotent when the country really was on the cusp of being brought to its knees. Tragic.

LOL, but most of that is SHORT TERM. We get to keep the payment for ever.

The £ will rise again, trust me, I've seen it at €1.01. THAT was a mini disaster for me.

Just how much DID we give them?

Not at all.:lol::lol::lol:

You lot keep rubbishing whatever figure we put out. How about coming up with one of your own, for a change?:lol1::lol1::lol1:

Whatever it is, it's not peanuts, trust me.

Well, yes..it WOULD be tragic if...

a) it was forever, and,
b) it wasn't mainly being caused by the self same people who brought the western economies to their knees before, ours included.

Come on, JT, chin up, I've seen the £ at €1.01. What's it at today, btw?
