Arch 23 June 2016 05:24 PM

Why are you changing the bolts it's not normally necessary unless they are damaged.

yabbadoo4 23 June 2016 06:21 PM

sized bloody solid arch! looking like we gonna have to cut them off. tried some heat on them and still no joy so cant see any other way to get them off.

JDM_Stig 23 June 2016 06:40 PM

yabbadoo4 23 June 2016 06:55 PM

The easiest option is Subaru and give them a good greasing before fitting.

dazsti72 24 June 2016 09:50 AM

ICP £10.

Try some of the breakers on here the bolts are definately reusable so no need to pay over the odds. I always copper slip the sleeved section of the bolts but garages never do.

Autotweek 24 June 2016 06:16 PM

How many do you need? As we can supply them at a cheaper price thanks

yabbadoo4 24 June 2016 06:20 PM

hi i need 4 all in. upper and lower both sides. pm me with details please, thanks.

bustaMOVEs 24 June 2016 07:15 PM

Get a pair of camber bolts in there man, then you only need a pair of normal bolts

Kaeo 24 June 2016 09:16 PM

Man they can't be that seized, try holding the nut with a spanner and using the breaker bar on the bolt itself instead. Usually have to anyway for the bottom one as the driveshaft is in the way.

I actually snapped a seized one when fitting some shocks and springs for a member on here.

trust me mate they are solid! i have a friend who has a small garage workshop so going to give them another try next week with a torch. they have been replaced before as these are gold kyb,s but i think it was early in its life they were done as they are frozen solid with rust.

bustaMOVEs 25 June 2016 12:27 PM

Try an shock gun to try crack all the rust off

yabbadoo4 25 June 2016 01:52 PM

yeah will try a few things next week as he will have a compressor so will have an impact gun as well as an Acetylene torch for some heat. ive seen freezing sprays as well which are meant to freeze it down to minus 45 deg. might be worth a try.

JGlanzaV 26 June 2016 04:02 PM

La co rust buster, soak it for a few days, wire brush and a hammer.

Autotweek 30 June 2016 03:04 PM

Got them in stock now, if still needed :thumb:
