Asda Charity Event on 6th August at Bruntingthorpe

Hi guys,

I went to this last year and thought it was a really good day out as there was a huge variety of cars and other activities going on.

I've heard that South East Scoobies aren't running a gate this year so you won't be able to take your car on track via them. However other clubs will still be running i.e. GTR's, Maserati’s, etc.

Does anyone know any other clubs that are going and that would allow us to take our cars on track?

This is from last years event:

Kind Regards,

Subaru Collector 555.

I was going to go down last year, but something came up that took priority, I was gutted I missed it. I'll hopefully be going down this year :thumb:

Any idea where or how to get hold of tickets?

I should be getting a copy of the pass emailed to me soon which I can forward to you if you want. Just print it off and fill it out :thumb:

It's classed as a 'private event' due to insurance matters regarding rides in cars it can not be advertised to invite the general public. But the more the merrier.

Apparently it's the owner of Bruntingthorpe who will be running it in the future.

There were about 5 to10 from each club that were offering passenger rides but unfortunately the SES club were told that they did not have a slot on the track. Not sure if the P1 lads have a place on the track?

Yeah I think the P1 lot aren't going on track because they couldn't get enough numbers, well at least that's what I've heard.

What a great day, loved it :thumb:

www.m-soc.com (Midlands Subaru Owners Club, formally Midland Scoobies) had a superb day at this event again. Made better by the fact, we were the only Subaru Club running a Gate this year and Gate No.1 at that :thumb:

A selection of Impreza's were on offer to the public for trips round Bruntingthorpe. Busy all day, with all members having the chance to drive the circuit. Included also was a GTR, C63 black edition, Ultima and a few Evo's to make it a little more interesting

More of the same next year

Some pictures here

Random question, Steve, but how come the white Hawk in those photos (which also appears on type-ra.com's homepage) has got an 11 plate? Cheers!
