That blue window offering Windows 10?????
how do I get rid WITHOUT risking it doing the download?
With limited internet, and the need for this computer until the wife goes home, I can't risk it starting a download. I've heard that clicking the close "x" now starts it, so what DARE I do? TIA |

my god , the paranoia - almost as tangible as the 70 mill strong Turkish invasion lol

LOL.
It's already sneakily installed on the wife's laptop when she clicked close. I can't let it do it here, because it'll use up my internet allowance for the month. So no paranoia, it's real. |
been using this for a while now, works a treat :thumb: |
Microsoft turned the "offer window" from an "opt in" to an "opt out"
it did this by setting the update to "recommended" - most windows installations are set to download "recommended" update automatically |
I'm not quite sure what happened with my desktop today. I've been happily running Win7 for a few years, but registered interest in Win10. I went out to get the car MoT'd and when I came back (with a pass :D) the pc was halfway done with a Win10 installation.
Bloody cheek I call it! :brickwall |
