Air con rad
So I replaced my broken radiator yesterday (after snapping off the overflow pipe) with an alloy japspeed rad. Found a nice little black radiator in front of it which upon doing some investigation turns out to be the air con rad. Now im (slowly) turning this into a track car - so this begs the question:
Does this impact the flow of air onto the radiator much? Should i remove the a/c system? Is it hassle? Also what size bolts go on the bottom of the rad? every one of the bottom 4 snapped into my old rad! Where can i buy them from? (was thinking a bolt dress up kit but unsure whether they would fit etc. Cheers, Ash |
what car mate? i removed the AC off my classic, mainly because of the weight, and the fact that i very rarely used it.

It's very illegal to vent the gases on removal.

Yes, take it to a garage that does air con regassing, get them to degas it.

just to be clear.. mine was already devoid of gas when it was removed!
the rad, however, was a full width ally thing behind the coolant radiator, so not sure why you have a small black plastic one. mine's a '93 JDM though, so maybe that would account for the difference? |

that looks the same as mine although mien was silver.
you sure it's plastic>? |
If ya taking it out, might u be selling it?
