God knows Maybe it Was the flu Iv had but I answered a text thought was from Apple regarding icloud being taken away because not using it , log in to reinstate . So I did

Cancelled all cards , linking to icloud etc

No other communication yet from Apple

I can't change my security cos can't remember security q's , and when I ask for reminder by email - it doesn't arrive

I can't imagine I'd been so daft done this with my android phone . I guess these people target the lowest denominator

I had something similar which was a text msg from Apple. But deleted it suspecting it to be a scam as I neither own or have I ever owned apple devices or had access to icloud.
Did you follow the link in the message?

This will probably be used to intercept the username and password you used - forget the fact you couldn't get logged in, if you supplied a username and / or password it will now be known to those who staged the attack.

People being creatures of habit will use the same set of credentials for access to multiple sites, if I were you, I would be going to the important sites and changing your usernames and passwords. Sweep your machine before you do this, just in case this attack has deployed a malware payload to your device.

Nothing particularly rude.

Numptie
These scams are so obvious as Apple and many other companies will not ask you for your login details and usually like it happens to me recently with Next they noticed unusual activity and reset the password for me
And then followed it up with an email explaining why

Good guy Next!

Hopefully it was as unique password, otherwise change them all. Passwords are to complex for me to manage nowadays, so I use 1Password, you can get some functionality for free but I highly recommend buying it.

I cant find anything out the usual across the phone as yet , I'm logging in , no messages from apple etc

JackClark 04 May 2016 05:17 PM
