WRX PPP Wagon - 2001

Thought this might be of interest. Have just come back to Scooby ownership - I had a JDM Gravel Express in the mid 90s, and with an imminent job move to somewhere with nice roads was looking for a new car.
Picked this up at a 'german box' dealer in Surrey - it was a trade in they were looking to offload. Paid only £1500 for it with 12 months mot, but needing 4 new tyres. Had it re-shod, and it has a MASSIVE history file (inc PPP cert) - its main owner has had everything done at the main dealers. I also had the belts, water pump etc done and all the fluids and filters changed. I am not a knowledge geek, but the paperwork seems to indicate it has non-standard headlamps - can anyone elaborate? It drives beautifully, despite being on 150k miles. I have still got to replace the slightly shonky rear discs, and there is a tiny weep from the rear diff I will need to investigate. And the clock doesn't work! Also some of the backlights in the centre console around the heater controls appear blown - are they Subaru specific or can I pick some up at Halfords? Comments appreciated. |
Looks like you may have got yourself a bargain there!
Good luck with it. |
The clock repair is a nice easy DIY.
I bought a cheap WRX wagon last year and the clock was dead. Just whip it out and have a look at the soldering on the pcb, there will be a defective solder joint. Just reflow with soldering iron and Robert's your mother's brother. |
looks a nice clean wagon, ive just bought one too! i have a spare clock if you want it. they are standard lights you have
