Fault codes diagnosed

Hi

Looking for advice on fault codes. I've got a V3 Type R, check engine light has come on.

I'm getting codes

23 Mass Air Flow SensorCircuit
24 Idle Control System Malfunction
33 vehicle speed sensor

The check engine light was coming on occasionally and would clear if I dipped the clutch and let the car idle. The revs would also hunt for a few seconds when coming to a stop before settling. Now the engine lights on permanently, which has stopped all of the rpm hunting, but the car does now idle at about 250rpm more than usual

Any suggestions appreciated

Thanks

is the speedo working, because if it isn't it will throw up codes as the ecu doesn't know how fast the car is going, so it will default to closed loop fueling, setting off other codes

Many Thanks for the reply

Yes you're right the speedo just stopped working last week which was when the occasional check light started. The light never stayed on to begin with so I feared it may have been something else. The dashboards recently been out so the speedo clusters probably where my problem is.

Thanks for the help

no probs, sort the speedo out first do a ecu reset and see if that cures it before you start spending silly money :thumb:

The engines already on borrowed time I think. Currently slightly down on compression due to a suspected burnt valve :/

So I'll be needing a new one soon, was hoping to get a bit more life out this one yet though
