Tyres on 17"
So, im running 215 45 17 tyres, rear ones scrub a bit, so on changing them, do i go for 205 45 17 , 215 40 17 ?
thoughts ? cheers |
Late Classic?
If so the rolling circumference closest to the OEM 205/50 R16 is the 215/40 R17. 1921mm verses 1897, respectively. So slightly better acceleration lol. Back in the day, I ran that size on 7J x 17 Monza Rs, lowered about 40mm, with no rubbing issues. |
Cheers bud, its an early classic, 95 wrx

If so, their RC is 1871. So the 215/40 R17 would still be fine (the best compromise between max possible width vs no rubbing vs speedo 'error'). ;) |
cheers, not sure if they came with 15`s, mine had 16`s on it many yrs ago when i 1st bought it
cheers again bud |

The other early styles:

I've been on 215/40 x 17" since finding out that a new (used), set of WRX 17" wheels and four new tyres was LESS than four of the 16's it had on!
