Harness fitting

Hi,

I am looking at a 4 point harness.

I think I know where I'll be mounting the 2 shoulder straps to the rear.

But where should I mount the other 2 lap straps?

Thanks

Either side of the seat, look at the msa blue book, that will given out information on the correct way to mount harnesses. Realistically you don't want a 4point, something with a crotch strap is much more suitable, so ideally 5point of more.

Alyn at AS Performance always does great deals on top quality TRS harnesses

Thanks Joe, ill have a look through the blue book.

I liked the look of theses:

They are 4 points but designed to prevent submarining. I haven't read anything bad about them.

I would like to install a 4 point harness in my Hawkeye, and I'm looking how is the best way to do it.

What its the blue book? I would like to see it

Really it's a 6 point, but can't mount the two between the legs there is no hole in the seat.

Hi mate the blue book is a book that is writen by the MSA, that features rules and regulations for Motorsport. You can find it online if you google MSA 2016 blue book and in there it will tell you the best way and the correct way to mount your harnesses, probably about 5% of people on here who have harnesses, have them mounted correctly in accordance with the blue book. What's the point in fitting a safety feature if your not gonna install it correctly, Right??
Blue book will explain where you need to position the harnesses, the angles of how you should have the straps, correct anchorage points etc etc.
well worth a read
