Anyone recently sold a 2008 WR Blue Hatchback STI with Black 330s wheels ?

Ive seen this STI for sale locally but the seller does not know much of the history like if its been remapped and by who etc, was wondering if anyone here used to own it?

2008 WR Blue Hatchback STI with Black 330s wheels.
Exterior looks standard.
Its got aftermarket reversing sensors fitted.
Looks like an aftermarket turbo back catless exhaust system.
I think its a HKS SSQV BOV on the TM intercooler too.
K&N Short Ram Induction kit.
Reg plate starts RE08 xxx

Anyone?

Put the full reg plate in here:-

Also you can do an MOT history check here:-

Cheers, sorry I should of clarified.

I meant more about the cars performance history rather than its stolen/write off history. Thanks for link though.

It would be nice to find out if the car has been remapped and by who, if the previous owner has the remap figures etc.

Unless anyone knows of any way to find out if an ECU has been remapped from standard.?

Don't suppose it has a boost gauge does it? You can tell if it's been remapped by the boost its running

My rule ive always followed buying cars and its never let me down, if your unsure or the owner is unsure of its history then buy something else or you be buying a mine field, there plenty decent ones out there with good history on them.

If in doubt do nought.

I'll try and get a picture.

The history that is known seems okay, it would just be nice to find out what performance it is running at. I guess it could be taken to a remapper and get them to look at the ECU to see if it has been changed.

Portsmouth, Ive not seen any ad's for it and think its a private seller not a dealer. Dont think they have owned it very long so thought Id ask on here if the previous owner used to frequent the forum.

It's not a private advert guys, it's being sold by 'Performance car company' down in Havant. I bought my current Impreza from them, absolutely top guys and I thoroughly recommend them. Take a look on their website and look at the 'cars sold' list, a fair few Imprezas on there. Jeremy is a top bloke and they also gave me top money for my Clio 200t that I traded in. I'll probably be buying my next car from them in all honesty.

P.s I am in no way affiliated with Performance car company, other garages are available LOL!!

T a pressure gauge into vac line and see if it has increased boost will be the quickest and easiest way to check if its been re mapped. The ecu wont be changed unless running aftermarket so you would have no eml light if that was so.

A rolling road is where I'd start, get a full health check rather then guessing from a boost gauge. .

No sure many companys will allow a car to be taken to a rolling road.

have you seen this one for sale,
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2008-Subar...EAAOSwQgpW~-nh

It's originally a Nottm car and been services within the area too.
Beechwood where the Derby dealer. Europa is Sheffield (where I go for my services, due to no dealer in Nottm... plus Europa are really nice guys),

Looks clean and tidy... and it's in the best colour.
