Backbox for '06 WRX Hawk

Hi chaps,
I'm looking for a new or used backbox for my 06 Hawk WRX. Open on style. Looking for a nice sound rather than be the bane of my neighbours. Open on £.

Much obliged:notworthy

You thought about Prodrive bud?

Just had a look. Looks good. Might have to invest in that!

I have a pro drive backbox on my Hawkeye its a decent looking im just working on decat centre and downpipe to give it a bit more life. Im after more rumble also but not that much that it annoys the neighbours.

I would recommend getting a Afterburner vortex backbox, its also a popular choice and you get a much nicer burble and rumble compared to the Prodrive (had one before the afterburner) and its not stupid loud. I've got a blob wrx fully decat with a resonated centre pipe and sounds great and very sensible.

Sounds worth a look. Assuming you don't have to remap if you just change the backbox? Do you know if you need to remap if you replace back box and centre pipe?

I wanted to upgrade my Prodrive as I wasn't entirely happy with sound (personal opinion) and the afterburner vortex has been spot on, I love it.

No remap needed if changing centre pipe (resonated or straight) and backbox, as your sticking to the stock 2.5" diameter of piping :thumb:

Forgot to mention, there are various clips on YouTube for the afterburner vortex. Will give you an idea if its the sound you want.

If your planning to decat it I would keep the Prodrive on it sounds great with no motorway drone
