Clutches - Who has the Highest mileage?

Inspired by this thread, as Impreza clutches seems to have a reputation for not lasting very long, I thought I'd start a new thread to see who has managed to get the highest mileage from a clutch.

I'll start with my 1997 Turbo 2000 with 107,000 miles, still on the original clutch.

168,000 miles and still going strong !
That includes some trailer towing as well.
Standard UK MY00 turbo classic.

As I said in the other thread,98 turbo 2000,123,000 miles.....
It was mapped from standard (218bhp) to 278 with similar torque at 109,000
I must admit it never gets side stepped, ridden etc, always rolling before giving it the beans!

I have never changed a clutch on any car in 22 years of driving. :smug:

My classic is now on 214,000 miles on the original clutch !

Is it a mk1 1.6GL?:notworthy

Has the mk1 1.6 GL got a tougher clutch ? :lol1:

Mines a standard MY2000 turbo, all original except for uprated brakes and suspension.
Oil, water, fuel pumps, exhaust etc are all 23 years old.

Couldn't give a mileage but we owned our 54 reg blob for 8 years and it never needed a clutch

That's because you don't keep them long enough. My MGB has had 2 clutches. One just after my dad bought it in 1980. I bought it from him in 1983 and it had another clutch a couple of years ago when I rebuilt the engine.

I’ve never had to change a clutch yet in any scooby I have owned , and that’s quite a few scoobies , the scooby as it’s a 2.5 lump when it’s been out for a re build at 93 k , I got the clutch done too as a sensible way to do things , but it still had lots of life in it 👍😂 , the only exception to clutch change was my monaro , it was upped by 100 bhp on a n/a engine and clutch was upgraded to take the power as old one was not coping well 👍😂

No less power do alot less stress on the clutch my guess.
