Fault code 1131
 

Just had fault code 1131 come up on my bug wrx. I have had the car decated and a remap with the oxygen sensors deleted. Should this happen if they were mapped out I had the remap in December and the cars been great until now.

DTC P1131 — FRONT OXYGEN (A/F) SENSOR CIRCUIT MALFUNCTION
(SHORT CIRCUIT)

This refers to the sensor that is located in the manifold, just before the up pipe and is required for correct fueling.

If you have had the pre-cat removed from the up-pipe its possible that the wiring for this sensor has been burnt/damaged as it is clipped to the for'd coil pack to keep it clear of the up-pipe.

I thought when I had the sensor mapped out it would not throw up the fault
