A few months ago I saw a thread on here about owners of MY01's who were complaining about Surging/Hesitation on acceleration. I wish I took more notice of the thread as my MY01 has just started doing it.

I have had it for 16 months and I have done 15k in it. I have NEVER had any probs with it untill the past three of days. It is in standard form at the moment. I have been running SUL from new, past few months been running Optimax. It has had all it's required services so far.

Does anyone know what causes this?

I get it on my MY999 PPP.
Only when cold though for the first few mins or so.

Mine does it when it is up to operating temp. It is really stange. It only started doing it last week. I'm going to wait till I fill the tank again. if it still does it I will take it to my dealer.

I posted this thread because i thought someone could remind me of the outcome of the previous thread on this subject, what with search bing down.

It does not seem to be a common problem, which is good, judging by the response on this posting.

Cheers

Maybe the carbs are a bit dirty???
Guess a dealer may be required or maybe trying some Optimax as that is a good cleaner

My WRX feels like a bucket of bolts until it is warmed through with clutch judder and hesitation. After about 10mins though, it is a dream. It's my first scoob so I've just assumed it is normal behaviour of a cold performance car.

MY01 has the same symptoms, taking it in end of the month for a 10k service, where the dealers says they'll check it over.

will post the outcome

Yes my car does this while it is warming up for about 3 minutes.

Some people say it is an earthing problem, and have reported fixing the problem by doing this. I am going to try it next week.
