18" x 9" et42 offset on Hawkeye WRX? What tyre choice?
Hi there
I have tried to google and search this subject but have only found a small handful of people who claim to be running this set up. Theres a set of wheels id like for my wrx and according to LKPerformance website there wheel calculator claims that they should fit fine FITMENT CHECKED THESE WHEELS FIT YOUR Subaru Impreza WRX Turbo 2006 to 2007 (2.5 L IM5) Does anyone currently have 18 x 9 et42 wheels on there scoob? What tyres are you running? Do you have any rub? My current set up rubs a little (18x8 et 35) if I have a 3rd or 4th passenger and ideally Id like to do away with any rub. I have HSD's fitted already so inner arch or suspension should not touch its just the outer arch or quarter panel that may rub If you do have 18 x 9 et42 on your scoob what tyre size do you use? Thanks for the help |
Anyone?

probably not a great deal of help but i'm planning on getting a new set of wheels in 18x9 et35 set up and I plan to use a 225/40 profile

18x9 et42 will scrub more than 18.8 et35
if you take your higher offset et42, its -7mm starting compared to et35, but then an extra 0.5inch each side of rim is 12.7mm, so +5.7mm total so itll be sitting 5.7mm further out than it currently is. so yes theyll fit but theyll scrub like fook |
I'm looking for a slightly wider tyre for my sti type UK widetrack I have purchased 8.5 speedline turini's et 52 could I fit 245 40 18 without any rubbing?
