Nice bike, are you planning on going on gravel paths or just road? If Road I can recommend Schwalbe one pro 28mm tubeless. Lovely smooth ride and fast

JackClark 17 March 2016 06:59 PM

Cheers! I live on the canal tow path so that gets used a lot, the knobbly's are probably not needed but I'll have a go at wearing them out before replacing them. So far so good, first time using clip in pedals which was exciting :)

I have Adamo on my bikes. They are the best saddle. Absolutely no numbness, even after 6hrs in the saddle. Take a little getting used to, but then bliss

Interesting you don't see that many tdf riders with one

Boardman sell them with their TT bikes. The British track cycling team use them alot. Quite a few of our club riders hae got them now, women like them too.

I got mine 3/4 years ago. My rides upto an hour were ok with a soft comfy 'normal saddle'. After 1 hour it became uncomfortable. I checked around and found the Adamo saddles(they have many types depending on use) I went with the road 2 version as most of my riding was road based then. It took me about 300 miles to become settled riding with my weight on my sit bones and not my block and tackle. I did this in 20-30 miles rides. After that i could ride 100 miles and not suffer at all with saddles issues. I put one on my MTB bike and again find it very comfy even though I am more sat upright. Not the cheapest saddle but worth it if you become sore after a short period of riding say 1-2hours

I paid about £70 for this one, but you can't put a price on being able to feel your penis. Fingers crossed the rain holds off today and I can get a few miles on it.

I'm still very wary of the SPD's need to fall over then it's done.

Went out for a ride yesterday, find the saddle this came with is rather uncomfortable and quite intruding.

By definition if you only drive a car you're fat, ugly, unfit and unhealthy :)

Cyclist's are beautiful, slim, healthy, fit, caring, well educated and wealthy :D

Which are you?

PaulC72 18 March 2016 02:09 PM

looks like you can slide your nuts in the gap.

Sir Chris Hoy is a Keen driver and, well, as your probably aware, has a won just a few gold medals.

Jenson button drives F1 cars and is a keen triathlete.

Just had a look, that's a thing of beauty but well outside my price range. Mine was under £800 with shoes and pedals :) pretty hefty discount from the local bike shop.

Pull up to a junction, forget my feet are attached and do a comedy fall to the road, glad that's out the way with little damage. What a dufus.

jazzyjembreaze 19 March 2016 07:10 PM

Happens to us all
Just get into the habit of detaching 1, a few yards up before you think you may stop , most you can adjust for tightness of pressure to apply lol

scoobygaz1 19 March 2016 07:54 PM

First time it happened to me, single lane come around a corner and there's a flock of sheep in the road being hearded to next field. Moved to a passing place, lucky I thought then hit a puddle and stopped dead in the mud next thing sheep looking down at me
