is this for mapping purposes or just for logging etc ? if just to log you can get a vag cable off the bay for around a tenner and put romraider (free) or ecuedit (also free) onto a laptop and away you go. it might be possible to flash rom,s with romraider but not 100% on that but some googling would soon tell you. romraider have forums with loads of info. i know i couldnt on my bug sti as it had an ecutek map on which is locked by the mapper.

It will be for mapping and logging, im going to be mapping opensource with it, ive been told this is the lead i need to do it.

Im hoping my map isnt locked so i can save the map before i start playing, whos your mapper?

If you had a location you may find a member local who may lend you the gear, I have 2 sets but wouldnt just send it to a random at £200 quid.

andy forrest mapped mine using ecutek. if its ecutek im guessing it will be locked to protect the mappers work. someone was selling a tactrix recently have a look in for sale section. you can flash roms with romraider and download roms with similar mods to yours and flash them to your ecu. not strictly mapping as your using a rom that someone else has modified.
