Get one of these:

That way you can go to the bigger compressor wheel. I know it says EVO but if you read the description it's for the Subaru. If I'm not mistaken boosted is using a TD05 big 16G.

Nice, yes the standard TD05 is 16G, but it says in description, upgrade the stock TD05 small 16G Turbos to big16G Version.

Also is removing a compressor Housing and compressor Wheel something a turbo building newbie should try?

Absolutely! I did it. If you have a good set of tools and a clean work area you'll be fine. All the Subaru TD05s are small 16G so going to big 16G is a good thing. I would have done the same but I just fancied the challenge of rebuilding the turbo and converting it.

Ah ok, i have a tone of tools, how much extra power does this provide? I'm not really looking for more than 300.

Well as far as I know the small 16G can make around 320bhp with supporting mods so I assume there'd be an increase to potentially 350bhp+ again with support. Contact boosted on here, as I said he has one fitted to his car. The decision for me would be based on the turbo being easily capable of supplying plenty of cool air at low boost pressures.
