Funny how Obama is being asked to stay for his happy-clappy, body jiggling singing along while the same OP was embarrassed  when our Cameron and Boris did the same in the Olympic 2012 ceremony. I don't think our Spicegirls and our politicians are that bad, you know. :D

BTW, Boris looked quite cute when he jiggled his wide waist on 'weally, weally want'. I still remember it. :lol1:

I love soul meself very much, like. But charity begins at home, and our Boris and Camo perhaps have spirits. I'm not into spirits meself, but I don't mind at
mainly our Boris giving it loads (most possibly) under the influence. :lol1: I say 'most possibly' because I hear that Brits can only dance if under the influence.

Please, stay, Mr. London Mayor! :D

I wouldn't say that. It was quite an open racism, actually. A neutral one, though.

It was actually a friend called Blue who told me that. He must have been racist towards himself because he's white, Bristolian Brit. He used to be amazed with how I danced without being under the influence of any alcohol or drug while he had to drink st least 6 drinks to come on the dance floor. I once broke his nose by mistake with my headbanging on the 'jump around' song. I also broke a girl's tooth like that. They both forgave me, like. They knew they were mega pished and came too close to me while I was just minding my own business and just dancing!

Yes, they do. They do know how to drink better. :lol1:

Have you tried that 9% yet? The one TT suggested? £3.50 from ASDA?

I'd never pay that for any stupid beer bottle.

Turbohot 13 March 2016 03:16 PM

I don't know why ^ is fekked up; with Jimbo's quote on top and then later again. I'm not drunk btw.

Corrected. :thumb:

Not yet, but if I can muster up the courage to go in to Asda it'll be in my basket quicker than you can say Rack Jobinson.

Snigger.

Some musician or conductor was saying that, generally, the Brits suffer with lack of understanding of rhythm. He mentioned, that when trying to clap in concert with the beat of a passage of music, that an auditorium full of Brits tend to clap '180 degrees' out - IYSWIM.

By contrast, American audiences are allegedly generally much better at it.

I'm a drummer and find any British attempt to clap along to anything absolutely infuriating. No conception of the off-beat!

joz8968 13 March 2016 05:44 PM

lol

But I envy you. Would love to be able to drum. I just do not have an aptitude for the requisite multi-taking. And keeping it all to a beat, to boot!

A bit like rubbing your tummy whilst patting your head... But infinitely harder!

The one thing I will take away from it though is, that great word, 'paradiddle'. :lol1:

I thought you was a guitarist, Jimmy? If you're a drummer as well, then fantastic! Drums are cool! You should put a soundcloud clip here, with you're beating the drums mercilessly in it, man.

I'm not trying to make this thread a religious thread but do you think it's to do with America having more Christians than we have, here? I'm saying that because you see American Christians always clapping and dancing with their sonorous gospel music in the church etc. So, perhaps due to that ample 'clapping in harmony' practice, they become good at it.
Maybe?

I think Hare Krishna clapping practice certainly correlates with the Indians being dead good with their rhythm and harmony sense. They're always either clapping along, singing or dancing in front of their Gods.

You could well be onto something.
