I've popped my Scooby cherry.

Hi all, I've only gone and popped my Scooby cherry and bought myself one. I have however left a wet patch unfortunately not on the seat but under the car. It seems I have a very small fuel leak on swan neck. Do any of you lovelies know where I can get one. And hopefully I have attached pictures of my new baby with this post.

Welcome.

I have a very small fuel leak on swan neck.

Assume you mean the fuel tank filler pipe??

If so IM (Subaru UK) have a new one on ebay............ at a comparable price to Import car parts (who show no stock at the mo)

When you say swan neck do you mean the fuel filler pipe?
You can get these from import car parts for about £90 if I remember correctly.

Steve001 25 February 2016 06:38 PM

Petrol disappears quickly enough on these cars never mind a fuel leak too  ;)

Nice looking car btw :)

ewww https://cimg9.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.sco...7723061c3b.gif Nice chav stamp mate :lol1:

Karen Whitelegg 25 February 2016 09:15 PM

That chav stamp as you call it, is a memorial tattoo of his father who passed away in September. Its the family crest

bioforger 25 February 2016 09:19 PM

Condolences. How about a bit of your legs? maybe a hint of thigh?

johnlogie 25 February 2016 09:20 PM

Karen, I changed mine a few weeks ago. A bit fiddly but nothing major. The bolts that are at the filler snapped due to age and rust so I'd buy replacements

Karen Whitelegg 25 February 2016 09:20 PM

Thank you x

drfeelgood 26 February 2016 11:30 AM

This is a very common fault on classic's due to the plastic guard protecting the metal swan neck pipe at the bottom from damage from the road , crap from the road ie : salt , mud and soil collect between guard and pipe and eventually rot a hole in the pipe , I've had this done on both classic's I had , bit worrying at first but just go to a breakers or eBay and get a used one in good condition and replace , I left the plastic guard off when I replaced mine and painted loads of underseal on the the metal pipe to protect from future rot .

Looks a nice tidy example:thumb: welcome aboard hope you get it sorted only wear and tear:thumb:

Karen Whitelegg 26 February 2016 04:20 PM

Thank you all for your help and making me welcome. I've decided for the moment to keep my car as original as possible. Some small bits to source, but looking forward to tidying the old girl up. So over the next few months I'm putting my shoe addiction to one side for scooby addiction lol xx

ossett2k2 26 February 2016 04:23 PM

Karen Whitelegg 26 February 2016 06:50 PM

Hiya, the coat of arms is for the Butler family name, so if you are a Butler then it would be yours to x
