Thinking of joining Virginmedia?

Give me a shout and I'll get the mates rates team to call you about a better deal. We're being pushed to help sign people up and it does work out well for anyone being referred.

Before you ask, I do not get anything at all, no matter how many people I sign up. I am not in sales and there is no financial or any other gain from this for me .. I guess other than being popular if you save some money.

I'm classed as senior management so am excluded from any promotional offers staff see. (there aren't any on now anyway)

Basically if you don't have a full service or are new (can add to your package) they can offer you some "mates rates" deal.

Let me know.

:thumb:

If you want to ask them, or call up to confirm I'm not secretly making something from this, you are welcome to.

Honestly, I don't know I've never used it. I have a 2 and it's great much better than the 1.

Couple of my mates in provisioning have them and are running 300MB with ease.

**jay** 14 February 2016 09:36 AM

Lol even 200 is way way more than anyone will ever need 300 will just be another way of virgin bumping prices again.

JackClark 14 February 2016 09:44 AM

It's mental, I have and still do provide internet for hundreds of people on a 50mb or less line.

ossett2k2 14 February 2016 11:07 AM

Hi pimmo
Is this for TV as well?
We are stuck with BT for 12month on broadband but our skyTV is up for renewal on the 18th of this month.
We have all the channels apart form movies and have multi room so would like to keep the same sort of package.

Cheers
Rich

stevebt 14 February 2016 03:53 PM

What sort of discount can you get? I pay for the telephone line and 200mb internet so could easily add the tv if there were enough reasons :D

Cocker 14 February 2016 09:07 PM

any discounts for existing customer who, as an ex Sky customer, keeps on getting letter through the post saying come back and we'll give you 50% off?

The Dogs B******s 14 February 2016 11:41 PM

Been on the phone to virginmedia today(again) my wifi's been **** for months. Next door neighbors BT is giving a better signal. We're paying a fortune, ie full package, tv, phone and broadband. As an existing customer for approx 10years, they'll send me a new router out, which I have to pay for. :wonder:

I don't know, it depends on the service you have and take, you have to add something to be able to take the offer ..

Unless you don't already have all the service no.

Message me your modem MAC and I'll get one of the platform managers to look into it.

Jaysz 15 February 2016 09:19 AM

riiidaa 15 February 2016 10:57 AM

I'm an existing customer and getting rinsed for £50 for basic tv and internet (no phone) over at my flat. I'm hardly ever there so really should cancel.

BurningSky 15 February 2016 06:21 PM

Can you convince the provisioning teams to lay a line to my house so I don't have to go with BT? ;)

warrenm2 16 February 2016 01:26 AM

Just takes me to the "we think we provide you services" but they don't, shame

Adrian F 17 February 2016 11:35 PM

I am with Virgin and they are a pain in back side as every 2 months they tell you times are tough and they have to put the contract rate up.

The contract rate you sign up for is never honoured for the contract period you have to keep phoning to complain and then they spend 45 minute passing you round their call centre trying to upsell you more packages before giving you a loyalty bonus that takes you back to the contract price but the bonus runs out a few months later so your price rockets again so back on the phone to complain again.

e.g. i got my first loyalty bonus 6 months into an 18 month contract as virgins way to keep the contract price at what i signed up for.

as they say buyer beware you will be squeezed dry or live on the phone to retentions

Would love to take you up on your offer as need to do it for our office but two things, guess you dont do it for small companies ? and also although the blooming virgin cabinet is right outside my window , they seemingly cant cross the last 5 feet across the pavement !!

or else i would have the 300mb in a shot !!

**jay** 25 February 2016 03:28 PM

Internet speeds are great but sick of them increasing prices, next time it goes up with another sob story from them and im off else where.

You're not going to get any argument from me, but it's not just VM putting up prices.

I honestly don't know about small companies, crossing the street costs tens of thousands in Council charges and road works. Get people to sign the cable my street page and they will if enough interest.

they are not crossing a street, just a pavement 5-6 feet

At least you get a sob story, with Sky I just get an email saying look at how great we are, by the way your price is going up, but we are great..
