Hawk WRX Wagon rear suspension - sanity check!

Sorry, I know there are loads of threads about this and I've just spent the last hour or so trawling through the search function. I think I've worked out what I need, but would some kind soul mind sanity checking for me before I hit the button please?

I have the usual knocking rear struts on my 2006 hawk WRX wagon. I intend to replace with the 'right way up' KYB Excel-G units. Not interested in lowering springs so will reuse the existing units - I'm hoping this is as close to stock as I can get without selling my organs for OEM units.

I've found these shocks:

...and these top-mounts/dust covers:

Am I on the right track?

Thanks in advance :)

Looks right to me.
You could do it bit cheaper though.

or less, from France

Kyb 910046 - bump stops/dust boots.

While you're at it, I'd change the rear top mounts as well.

What about some Pedders? - although using your own springs?

Do they fit wagons?

Nope:

"will not fit ANY Impreza Estate due to kerb weight, or 2006/07 STi with 5x114PCD or Widetrack STi models"

My good man, you are a hero. May your donkey always be in foal.

Quick question - I've just ordered all the parts, and have had an email from the top-mount suppliers asking for my reg number. Are the blob and hawk top-mounts different? And what details do I want to give him to ensure they'll fit with the replacement dampers?

Your reg will get you the correct rear top mounts

Lovely, thank you :)

Just to close this off. I finally got round to getting my local indy to swap everything over today. There was a slight glitch - it turns out that I've been sent the wrong top-mounts. Fortunately the ones on the car were good as new so I'll just sling the incorrect units back for a refund.

Total spent in that case was:

Two shocks @ £77.90 each
Rear protection kit @ £19.96
Fitting @ £175 inc VAT

So a total cost of £350.76 excluding the bump-stops, and being lazy paying somebody else to fit them. Not bad considering the ludicrous amount Subaru wanted!

The ride is also totally transformed, and the knocking is gone. Hooray! :)
