Steering wheel Disklok question
Just bought a used small silver Disklok for my 97 type r with the red stitched momo wheel and it's too small!it will close and lock with brute force but then is so tight it turns the wheel so pointless:brickwall
I borrowed a yellow medium one from a friend when my car was not alarmed and that was a tad too big and with some force I think could be popped off the steering wheel but my question is... Is there a difference in size between a small yellow and small silver Disklok? as a small size was recommended for the Impreza Thanks |

I have a silver small one fitted to my blob sti and it fits perfectly, slightly loose so it spins over the wheel. I was under the impression all subarus needed the small ones for a perfect fit.
Have you got a pic of your wheel. |
i have a silver one and fits perfect on my classic, spins around but not too slack.

Mine is that tight it marks the steering wheel.

I will post a pic up of my wheel when I can get out and uncover my car(currently dying of man flu at the min),my lock is so tight on the wheel it could be driven a good distance with it on with out a problem I should think!
I do want to change the steering wheel for something newer maybe blob Sti but not for a month or two. It's strange how some people have a problem and others dont |

I could be wrong but I dont think thats a standard wheel, it dont look like any of the momo ones ive seen.

Looks like an original V4 STI wheel to me.
Surely even though the disc lock is tight it couldn't be driven... The lock has a bar sticking right out which should prevent the wheel being able to turn more than half a lock... |

I'm not sure or haven't tried to see if I could get a full rotation of the wheel but I know that you could get enough of a turn to get a good distance away before it may cause a problem to steer the car |
Girlfriend has one one her focus,it's tight but though this is how they should be,with the locking bar at the top it would be impossible to make any sort of right hand turn before the bar hits the windscreen.
