Yeah, but didn't he just move up the road to Finedon.

I.e. hardly any difference in distance between their old Baird Ct address and the new Finedon one.

Or am I barking up the wrong tree?

Emmaroids 14 January 2016 05:16 AM

Yup Finedon is about 4 miles away, didn't know he moved there though.

trevsjwood 14 January 2016 02:49 PM

it was in the Finedon area but I understood they are currently moving workshops.
I think Richard (Ren77 on here) does some mapping since Paul left, contact email:
ren@zenperformance.co.uk.

i may be very wrong but im sure thats what i read.

Paul B has a big paid job working for Ecutek.SJ.

joz8968 14 January 2016 06:02 PM

Wow, good for him. He has serious qualifications, after all. :thumb:

One of the good guys. :)

Ian 14 January 2016 08:42 PM

I have been trying to get Richard from zen to do a map for me, but with a unit change and him being super busy, Im just not sure when it is going to happen. It has been about 4 months waiting so far and am still not sure how much longer until he will have time to map for me :-(

trevsjwood 14 January 2016 09:22 PM

you could try Duncan aka Racedynamix, the problem is he does less roadmap now and seems to concentrate his time on rolling road sessions at RCM and Surrey RR. I thought he had a venue Norwich way but that may be down to demand there.
Bob Rawle is another option but I guess the problems of time and distance will be the same.

Also looking a mapper to do a road map at my place initially to make sure it's OK to drive then for the rolling road

Is this feesable??

Irrespective of where you go and who you use it will occupy a full day. So traveling a bit fort her for someone who is as good as Martyn is worth it in my opinion.
Funnily enough I compared travel from both yours and my destination to Plymouth, travel time is exactly the same to the minute! Bizarre! However it's a further 100 miles round trip for me. Plus I'm towing a trailer, so 650mile round trip and about 7hours each way towing. In my opinion worth every bit of it.

I cannot stress how important it is, that if you want someone good you must be prepared to travel!

I believe Richard is all moved in to his new place in earith now Ian. Drop him a line

ditchmyster 20 January 2016 10:21 AM

There is Richard Bulmer @ Tractive in Melton Mowbray, same building as Carnetics and he has a Hub dyno, which just means they take the wheels off and attach to your hubs.

He mapped my first WRX when they were all at TSL and made it fly.

For Uncle creepy, Why do you recommend that I don't use Duncan Graham to map my car?

scoobyman2007 22 January 2016 09:33 AM

May I no what's up with Duncan aka racedynamix as he has taken over most of jgm jobs

scoobyjunky 22 January 2016 07:34 PM

Bob Rawle at Subaru4u done a great job on my wagon in Newbury not horrendous distance worth the money

Peakie 22 January 2016 09:01 PM

I used to use Simon Roe (jgm) but after he sadly passed away i started using Duncan graham as he'd taken on a lot of Simons old customers, Duncan sorted my warm/hot start problem out and my dropping revs problem, he then gave me advice on my next step on tuning the car and I end up going with a 3 inch cobra system including decat and running octane booster which gained me an extra 30 bhp. All mapping was carried out at AP tuning near Norwich and my car has never felt so good, Duncan's a top bloke and knows his stuff so can't recommend him enough, it'll be worth the trip from Cambridge to near Norwich.

From personal experience: he'll rush to do your map in the quickest time possible (20 minutes, in my case), just so he can get the next poor sucker in to rip off; the map will be poor (not really surprising, considering he spends such little time and care doing a good job!); subsequently, your car won't run particularly well afterwards and won't gain the benefits it most probably would have had a good mapper worked on it; he fails to notice when there's a problem, eg. faulty fuel pump, because he's not very knowledgeable and, again, he rushes his work; and, on a personal, I found him rude and uncordial.

But don't take just my word for it:

https://www.scoobynet.com/scoobynet-...hemselves.html

They don't call him Dynamite Duncan for nothing!

I've found the complete opposite to this.
That's using him over many years for the numerous changes in my car.
