Can't wait to hear it mate. Shame you live in Cork, I come fishing every May in Cavan Gowna. Could of heard it first hand :-)
|
You wanna get those headers wrapped mate, lots of heat rising in the bay there and with a short ram induction it's not ideal...what you doing with the headers and up pipe you have removed?
|
good advice not sure weather to wrapmor not

Wrapping cheap 304 stainless can and will cause cracking as you can exceed the heat tolerance of the metal and it will become brittle |
so nobody wraps stainless headers then?
What would you rather have cracked headers after a length of time or high inlet temps constantly? Mine are wrapped and no problems here...have known it happen to people who use antilag |
Im not saying no body wraps them, I am saying it is not a good idea and that you will need to replace them sooner or later due to cracking.
304 stainless cannot cope with the heat demands of a turbo charged engine, it is however, cheap. |
i have decided not to wrap them see how it goes
|
If you decide not to wrap them, you will find they will start to melt everything plastic near them when used hard in hot weather, cam belt covers, wiring & connectors to the rad fans, sometimes the rad fan shrouds, & the oil filter will suffer.
|
time to wrap them then lol
|
:lol1: could prove to be a wise move
