Excellent news. Have to say I agree, Kev & Dan are always very helpful and friendly when I contact them.

Love the wheels, just put mine back on these wheels with the winter tyres on. :D

they had a lot of time for me way before I ever decided to bring the car to them
had the wheels powder coated in that color when it came in from japan
the car is filthy being in the garage for so long
it will be getting well pampered when it comes home

UPDATE

so the lads at the clinic got stuck in this morning
We have run into a few things with the car that need to be rectified
the oil cooler is top mounted and the lines are almost resting on the headers
we have scoring on the pipes
undecided if we will route the pipes along the passanger side or if we will
front mount the oil cooler but it’s clear that the cooler pipes need to be replaced

the intercooler is approx 50 percent of it completely hidden behind the bimper
we need to remove the bumper and cut and open it out to aid airflow

not claiming to be a Subaru guru in any way shape of form
i always assumed the Jdm hatch didn’t have tgv well mine does
so we decided to remove the intake manifold to remove
and this will make removing the secondary air system a lot easier

The lads are well underway with it
communication with kev and dan top notch as always
I truly believe the car could not be in better hands

ZANY 21 January 2019 05:55 PM

Go on lad :thumb: :D

BrownPantsRacing 21 January 2019 07:31 PM

Excellent work.

RAGGY DOO 21 January 2019 07:38 PM

I had a feeling they’d be some kind of issues with it
i was on the fone to dan for 40 mins
everything explained
all the options laid out
It’s weird and exciting seeing the progress after it was sat in the garage
for so long doing feck all
Lots more to come on this

BrownPantsRacing 21 January 2019 09:02 PM

Haha. I know that feeling mate. Every available surface in my garage is now piled high with parts. Can't wait to see them on the car and can't wait to get some of my garage back again!!!

RAGGY DOO 21 January 2019 09:10 PM

When do you hope to get started stripping and fitting matey

the shreksta 21 January 2019 09:23 PM

Looking good raggy, clinic will look after you mate no worries there. Are you picking the car up from them and driving back?

RAGGY DOO 21 January 2019 09:33 PM

That’s not been decided yet
I might have it Transported back
i may pick it up I’ll decide closer to the time
Not really looked that far ahead one step
at a time

ok buddy, without me trawling through 12 pages......what's the spec of your block?

hedgecutter 21 January 2019 09:41 PM

Definitely pick it up yourself, without a doubt

RAGGY DOO 21 January 2019 09:45 PM

more than likely I know dan wants me to come over in person and meet the team and visa versa would have a more personal feel to it if collected in person

ah ok, for some reason I thought you had a fully built block

RAGGY DOO 21 January 2019 09:58 PM

No man that’s the last piece of the jigsaw puzzle for me
but tbh there is so much to be done on the car as it is
I’ll come back next year for a fully built 2.1
the engine should be fine at 450 but obviously always a risk

happy days - where they able to find out/diagnose the initial problem with the car? or just fixing other stuff as they go along? or have you just give them cart blanche to do all what they think is required?

RAGGY DOO 22 January 2019 11:45 AM

What’s to be gained spending hours in the oe ecu wasting money when it’s going syvecs anyway
I’ve already wasted enough money when the option was put to me it didn’t interest me
if we still have issues mechanical or electrical when we are ready for the dyno that’s a different story
I require the car to be running a 100 percent and the clinic have been instructed to do whatever is necessary to ensure that’s the case

RAGGY DOO 22 January 2019 12:27 PM

RAGGY DOO 22 January 2019 12:29 PM

The tgv flaps have been removed and the lads at the clinic
are busy cleaning it all up
Going ahead and getting the intake manifold painted red will be a nice contrast
with the carbon covers

that would have been my only concern that it was an electrical or mechanical issue that isnt solved by fitting syvecs but scoobyclinic know what they are doing so youre in safe hands - and at least you are getting constant communication from them

RAGGY DOO 22 January 2019 01:43 PM

100 percent man
i want to cover all bases with the car
if there are issues after the ecu goes on I’m sure we can progress from there
whats apparent is there is a massive overfueling issue the front lambda isn’t working
the car was doing 4.2 kilometers per liter off boost
i nursed it up the road a few miles to meet the transporter
lots of things appealed to me about the clinic reoccurring advice on the mapping thread from lads on here was to take it to a garage who could do everything under the one roof

UPDATE
The front bumper is off to be cut and meshed
In the meantime the hks intercooler will be sprayed up black
and the rest of the intercooler pipes in red
im not copying you brown pants I swear lol
the top mount oil cooler will now be fitted out the front so the lads are on with that
Making good progress here
iron a few issues out spruce up a few things and plough forward
i say looking at the car in a million pieces is crazy
but the lads are on with it
