No gauges after flat battery
Hey,
Sorry if this is a simple question but as they were fitted before I got the car I have no idea about them. The gauges haven't worked since the battery went flat on my scooby and I have no idea where to start with diagnosing why or fixing them. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thanks |
Check to see if the live has an inline fuse which could have blown
|
Or has a permanent live, or the earth been left disconnected?
Some idea of the car, model, year, and what gauges might help us too? |
I will have a look for a fuse, would that normally be near the gauge? Sorry, yes, not much detail. It's a 2006 hawkeye spec c. The gauges are for water temp, oil temp, oil pressure and boost pressure. All have stopped working
|
Difficult to say where it would be but more than likely the other end where it's wired in, was the battery removed at anytime if so are there any loose wires?
Nice choice of car....same as me :lol1: |
They could be wired into the old clock wiring if in a dash pod.
If so check the clock fuse in the fuse box:thumb: |
Battery was never disconnected, literally just ran flat. Thanks, still loving it!
That does sound about right, I'll check the clock fuse |
how did you get on?

Cpt Jack Sparrow, your suggestion worked! I reseated the fuse for the clock and the gauges came back to life, thanks for the idea!
The Pink Ninja, what exhaust have you got on yours? I feel like I want a bit more noise from mine! |
