Can we please make an agreement that no one gives away the story line for the upcoming Star Wars film once they have seen it?

I know we have some cnuts on here but I think most will agree to this...

100% Agree :thumb:.SJ.

LSherratt 14 December 2015 06:36 PM

Agree. I'm planning to watch episodes 1 to 6 first to completely refresh myself of the saga.

mickywrx 14 December 2015 07:00 PM

Agreed, but, a timescale would need to be set really.

IMHO no spoilers until the 24th December, gives people a week to see it.

LSherratt 14 December 2015 10:23 PM

To be honest though, there's gonna be spoilers all over FB and the rest of the Internet which we will have to try to avoid!

jazzyjembreaze 15 December 2015 12:10 AM

I'm not goin to say it but , you must of heard by now anyway , oh & only watch lV V & Vl
As the first 3 even tho they may be true to the original comic book Lucas wrote in the 70's the films were targeted for primary school kids

legb4rsk 15 December 2015 12:48 AM

mrtheedge2u2 15 December 2015 08:13 AM

24th seems like a reasonable cut-off point

Geezer 16 December 2015 12:38 PM

Anyone else going to a midnight showing tonight?

I'm not dressing up, but I expect a lot of people there will be!

Tidgy 16 December 2015 12:39 PM

Felix. 17 December 2015 12:42 AM

The only spoiler I have seen is where Han Solo crashes his small fighter onto a golf course

RobJenks 17 December 2015 06:13 AM

A few have commented that it is a remake of the original and that the special effects have not progressed since 1977.

Well, the next one is not a continuation of this one, it's how they got the plans for the Death Star, so it's between Episodes III and IV.

yeah the next one is a off shoot, but after that the story continues.

I thought Lucas always envisaged 9 episode, and a New Hope was no 4 with Return of the Jedi no 6

so this would be 7 to 9

personally I think it would be shame to turn it into a never ending story - if that is what is being suggested

Geezer 17 December 2015 01:58 PM

I remember reading many years ago that Lucas's original story was about Mace Windu, but don't know how accurate that is.

However, in the documentary they are showing on Sky Star Wars channel at the mo, the story changed many times before the film got made, the original story didn't even have the force. Obi Wan and Darth were one character.

Lucas said that he then only had it as 6 episodes, it was the life of Anakin, which ended on Episode VI.

I don't mind what they do with the story, or how many they make, as long as they are good. There will be some less than stellar ones, but hopefully, most will be good.

Really enjoyed it.

Not sure showing a Wookie orgy was appropriate though.

b3nmw 17 December 2015 09:31 PM

Going to watch it over Xmas, need to catch up on the 1st 6 though.

Scooby.Newbie 17 December 2015 09:33 PM

Don't have a clue what you are all talking about :wonder:

Have seen as many of these as I have James Bond films, which is maybe one or two at best, and not sure which ones, Casino Jedi Never Dies may have been one of them :thumb:
