Whilst flowing my headers today, i also did a run on the exhaust ports. Took away alot of material and worked inward about 3 cm.

I'm very pleased with the result, i gained a lot of tourqe in low and middle rpm:s and slightly better at top. The driveability wich was already with TeK2 a dream is even better now.

Along this, the burbly headpounding sound is almost gone, much less struggling. I'm very pleased indeed.

Boost raised almost 1 PSI also.

Did you just do the heads in situ ? How did you ensure the shavings didn't go where they shouldn't ?

Watch out you may be running lean. Might be worth a Delta Dash or select monitor check.

I made 4 fluffy balls of wool, wrapped i cotton, and pushed them gently in towards the valve-shafts. I did not get anything above those. Really simple and definately worth it!!

Sounds good :) Did you go right out to the gasket diameter ? Reason I ask is that I've no idea how close the cooling jacket is and would not want to cut into it
Did you notice any difference in the RPM the turbo hits full boost at ? Mine is spooling much earlier but I modified the intake at the same time so I'm not sure which one made the difference

I started off the gross work with coromant bits and the grinder,
it was like shaving butter :)
Finnished it off with..hmm what do you call it in english...
those small rubber drums you can put different grades of polishpaper-tubes on...HEHE...sorry guys...swedish :/
also with the grinder.

John...yep, i'll log it. I talked to David some time ago, he said they had a better TeK upgrade for me when i've done the heads and headers, so i'll just send my logs and upgrade.

Edit: worth mentioning, i always run a 102RoN mixture

I ported almost to the gaskets, 1mm left around.
It spools quicker now, haven't noticed exactly, but around 2 -2100
with a lot of bottom tourqe before that also
