Should I keep my Impreza in hi or low range for daily driving? This morning on my way to work I switched it to low range (pulled it upward) and the car seemed to want to launch every time I set off normally, any help would be great

the low range is really only designed for off road type use and wouldn't recommend you run it normally........

Low range is great if you need to get out of a junction or roundabout quickly or in slippery conditions - just don't forget to put the clutch pedal in fully before engaging normal drive.

Low range is also used for steep hills.
