If anyone deserves the haka at their funeral then it's this guy.

RIP Big Fella

Was the first true rugby superstar. Great player.

Wow what a complete shock.

R.I.P Sir!

40 years young, such a sad loss to a giant of the sport
RIP

David Lock 18 November 2015 07:08 PM

Anyone who has ever played rugby dreams of being able to do what Jona did. Memories of him are with me always when I see a possible break from a back line, especially during the recent World Cup.

My estimation of Dallalio went up leaps and bounds as I remember one instance of Dallalio going for Jona head on when Jona was just getting going. Didn't stop him mind! I would have been terrified in that situation.......

So, so sad that he has gone so young but his family will be immensly proud of him once the immediate hurt has gone.

Thanks Jona,

David

v sad, only 40!!!

that video is unbelievable

and what a feat for the springbok to beat them in the final

hedgecutter 18 November 2015 10:15 PM

I had the honour of watching him destroy England at Old Trafford, might have been 1997; no one had a bad word to say about him on or off the pitch.
I think that I got some dust in my eyes a bit this morning when I heard the news:cry: not very manly I know!

Dave Y 19 November 2015 12:50 AM

Chris Evans played a Haka as a tribute to Jonah Lomu. Gave me a lump in my throat.
. RIP.

18 and a half stone, 100m in 10.8, blisteringly quick, ridiculously strong and fantastic ball carrying skills. Some of the offloads in that clip were perfection. An absolute beast of a sportsman who inspired a whole generation of players and changed the game forever. :notworthy

Beast of a player, a great inspiration, a fast big guy. Will be sadly missed
