Can I clean the rests at the cylinder?
In other case. To do a rebore to the cylinders is needed another treatment for the cylinder?

Very thanks... I come to break my ej20g and I need to take the decision to repair a ej20 open deck block from a european wrx of 1999 .

Thanks

I'd be taking it to an engineering company, ask them if it's usable or not.

woudl all depend on what size the bore is now and wether a re-bore to 1st or 2nd oversize would "clean" the bores...........

occassionally the damage is too deep to be effective

holy cow, that has detted its **** off!

Bin it, you can get a complete 2.0 GX/sport engine for £300, use the crank and block from that, they are identical. Keeps all components oem size, plus it will have been subject to less abuse.

The bore is the original. Never rebore.

As above, open deck blocks are cheap as chips, just get another.
