ESL mapping course.

I've had alot of requests to run a course on ESL mapping. It looks like we have achieved critical mass, so if anyone else in interested there is a thread on our fb page to register interest.

www.facebook.com/EnduringSolutionsLtd

It will be based near Cambridge, date tba, and run by me (the software designer). There will be an opportunity to purchase discounted cable dongles on the day.

Cheers

Andy

Nice just what i need. I'm not on FB, so anymore info would be great. Is it a one day course?

ossett2k2 17 November 2015 11:00 AM

I would have been up for this if you weren't so far away :(
I will check dates when you post them up and see if I can make it.

jaygsi 17 November 2015 11:23 AM

Yea and i thought i was far away, hence why i was asking if its a one day thing.

Andy Stevens 17 November 2015 11:49 AM

Yes, one day. People are flying in from Ireland and Scotland but appreciate that distance is a concern. Drop me an email Jay if you are not on fb. service@enduringsolutions.com

Haha. All relative I suppose. Have had an enquiry from NZ but I think that may be a bridge too far.

jaygsi 17 November 2015 11:57 AM

Wow how many people are you thinking might come?

timmy2take 17 November 2015 05:42 PM

Any chance it'll be available for the Version 5/6 models?

piehole1983 17 November 2015 09:50 PM

I've already replied on Facebook and it looks like you'll have at least two of us flying over from Belfast for it, dates permitting.

Dazzles Fiesti 18 November 2015 11:04 AM

I would love to do this but I think I'm a little too far away for a one day course!

When you go ahead with this Andy, would you be able to put together your teaching notes/power point presentations/any other teaching aids you use and make it available for those of us that are further away?

Many thanks

gazzawrx 18 November 2015 02:55 PM

Eh? Lol mapping is a generic thing not just one model of car.

I might be wrong here so apologies if I am,I think the corse is more about how to use the ESL software and all its features rather than an actual 'how to map' corse.
Which is good as I'm sure as with many using ESL we are not familiar with all the feature of ESL so should be a great corse to attend :thumb:
Although the ESL manual has pretty much everything you need to know about using this software there are still things I can't for the life of me get to work,3D maps being one of them lol
So I will be attending(date permitting) as the classroom will give me a greater understanding about the whole software package and how to use to its full potential.

Jaysz 23 November 2015 11:49 PM

Isn't 3d maps just where grid values can be changed horizontal and vertical like boost duty where boost limit would be 2d

ossett2k2 23 November 2015 11:58 PM

thought it was an actual 3d map as shown in this pic,not surprised I can't get that view then lol!

I would love to do something like this for my personal gain, I feel I would already know a lot of the information already, although I bet there is still a lot to learn. Would you cover duel fuels (ie methanol mixes) in the duel maps?
