What are the best options for the rest of the zhorst with a scooby sport back box on an MY01. I'm looking to keep it MOT legal so need to retain a CAT of some sort?

Look at it this way - you've got a couple of years until an MOT is due. So get yourself down to Scoobysport, get the centre and downpipe down and have the chip fitted that fools the engine management light - I've done this on mine. Car pulls like a train and is much better than standard :)

When the MOT is due, speak to Pete and he'll make sure you can pass ;)

I believe on the MY01, you can decat the D/P and C/S and remain legal as the cat in the up-pipe keeps you clean enough for current regs.

Personally I am thinking about losing the cat in the up-pipe as it scares me and going for a sports cat in the C/S.

I know people are rather blase about emissions but from what I have heard, they are going to be an issue because of the company car/vehicle taxation regs rather than MOT. For most not an issue but those of us running noisy exhausts make an easy target for roadside tests...

Otherwise go for it, what Chris says re performance is spot on:D

Simon :)

Go on... You know you want to... :D

Simon - you are the voice of reason :) I'm considering the up pipes as well. Let me know if you get your car done.

Cheers
Chris
