Wrx type ra v1 project for sale

Hi everyone and thanks for looking at my advert. I recently aquired 2 subarus from a friend, I only really wanted one of them, but he would only sell as a package. So this ra is now up for sale.

The car is a project. It's been off the road for 6-7 years now. It's also missing a engine, but everything else is there , the origional ra gearbox, td05 turbo etc etc.

The car is a 1993 l reg, and is really solid, never been welded. Paint work is really good condition too. The passenger side has a small dent in the wing, easy fix, but thought it best to mention it. Also the paint on the front and rear bumpers and spoiler also, could do with a refresh, but this done would make a mint car.

Milage is currently 111km, which I make out to be around 69k miles.

Being the ra the car has no central locking and wind up windows, but it is very lightweight , an ideal track car base.

The interior is in really good condition , no rips or burns anywhere.

As it's been sat it's going to need the brake calipers rebuilt and a few other bits. The gearbox has been stored in a heated garage, so at least that's not been sat around.

All in all its a very nice example of a rare early version classic. It's hard to put a price on it, but from what I've seen complete wrx ra is worth somewhere around £4k upwards. With this in mind, I'm asking £2250 for everything. I can deliver the car if needed, but you would have to cover all my travel costs up front, to avoid any messing .

Anyway il let the pics do the talking

Hi, intrested in the shell. You say there is a gearbox and turbo but can't see these in pics. Is the wiring and ecu all intact? Cheers

Russell Hector 10 November 2015 08:23 PM

Hi mate yes gearbox was removed with the engine, it's been stored in a garage, but does come with the car along with the turbo. The wiring and ecu is all there. It had the engine removed for a big power build, which never not completed . Any other questions just fire away

Are you open to offers as it sits??

Russell Hector 27 November 2015 01:26 AM

Possibly within reason, what did you have in mind? And do you want the ra box with it?

ditchmyster 27 November 2015 05:07 AM

I'm really surprised this hasn't sold yet.

Russell Hector 27 November 2015 06:34 AM

Thanks mate. I don't think my location or the time of the year helps much. But i do get regular messages about it, so we will see. Really am tempted to build it up as I have a spare red top sti engine from my type r, and keep getting ridiculous offers on the box and shell. One guy offered me £400 for the lot, and wanted me to do a 600 mile round trip to deliver it for that too lol

ditchmyster 27 November 2015 09:52 AM

For the sake of a few days work and a bit of paint, especially as you have an engine, if I were you I'd build it up mate, it's worth £4k all day long and even that's on the cheap side.

Say at worst it takes you a week of faffing to sort it, you'll still come out of it £2k better off, which is a decent weeks pay by anyones standards.

But hey your car your pockets, Id sooner £2k in my pocket than someone elses.:thumb:
