Pipe diameter
Does anyone know the internal diameter of the top radiator hose on a 2.5 engine. Want to cut and install a water temp sender adapted.
Cheers |

This has been winding me up so I measured the port on the radiator its 35mm internal and 40 external (so a snug fit for the hose). However, both the new samco and the old one that is actually fitted to the car each have 35mm internal bore and both fit like a glove

So last night I took the plunge and cut the pipie the 36mm adapter went in easily, but sealed well once the clipnwas tightened and no leaks.
This was an OEM top hose. hopefully the slightly narrower section will not restrict flow too much. :Suspiciou |
glad you got it sorted mate :thumb:
I have a full set of red samcos going to be fitted in about 2 - 3 weeks this will leave me with the samco top and bottom rad hoses in blue, top hose is fitted at the moment and is as new (less than 1k miles on it), the bottom hose was never fitted. if your interested in these let me know cheers |
